This is a much bigger version of my small jewelry boxes that sold out in one day! Approximately 8 × 6in. outside diameter, inside depth of 1-inch, and the recessed lid provides 1.35-inch total inside clearance.
This is a 1 of 1. I will not be making any more in this style with this (very expensive) wood.
Okay here’s the real deal: Mahogony is expensive and looks amazing when finished, it’s a traditional symbol of wealth and fine woodworking. This box is available to be customized with whatever you want engraved on the underside of the lid or just kept simple and beautiful as is. Hence the reason why this box has not been assembled. Those brass hinges are a friction fit and once installed will not come out without ruining the piece - in order to keep this available for customization I cannot assemble it prior to engraving.
This will be an heirloom piece that you give to your kids one day (and hope they don’t pawn it for drug money).
